A New Species of <i>Perlomyia</i> (Insecta: Plecoptera: Leuctridae) from Japan

Perlomyia gakken sp. nov. (Plecoptera: Leuctridae) from Kyoto Prefecture, Honshu, Japan, is described and illustrated. This new species distinguished all other by having a remarkably long slender epiproct with crochet hook shape at tip. Although, this most similar to P. kappa Sivec Stark, 2012, but can be discriminated the three morphological differences: (1) cercus small spine-like apex (long terminal spine in kappa), (2) slightly swollen middle lateral aspect (swollen basally (3) like apically (expanded kappa). A checklist type localities map for 25 currently recognised are also presented.
